open carry in wisconsin?

Ok, so, ive known for nearly 5 years now that wisconsin has open carry but only recently i was wondering something. I know certain states allow you to carry a long gun (rifle or shotgun) slung round your shoulder as well as a handgun, but im just curious if that applies to wisconsin?

I live slightly north of madison so its more in the blue part of the state im curious about as opposed to the northern regions of wisconsin where more dangerous animals are and id be stupid to be in non-heavily populated areas without some form of firearm to protect against coyotes and bears.

My shotgun is a mossberg 590 sp 9 shot if that makes a difference as it appears more ASSAULTY than a 500 pump even though a .22 holds more ammo and fires faster (its all about looks i tell ya!)

Btw im 20 years old, and the legal owner of the shotgun, so would me not being 21 also make a difference? Or is it pretty much, "as long as i own the firearm legally, and am over 18 (being its a long gun) i can legally open carry it?

I apoligize if there are any gramatical errors as im on my android and its exceedingly annoying to try and edit on one.

Wisconsin open carry law doesn't apply to rifles or shotguns and neither do concealed carry laws. Legal or not, I doubt lugging around a shotgun for protection from wildlife is necessary near a place as populated as madison. You'd be making a huge spectacle of yourself, and I'd be willing to bet money that somebody would call the police on you. I have never in my life seen someone carrying any gun down the street, and most people don't even know it's legal.

    * Coyotes and Bear rarely if ever attack humans to begin with.* If you believe in the 2nd Amendment of the U. S. Constitution and choose to carry your shotgun then under the 2nd Amendment you are then only exercising your Constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms.* However you will most likely be approached by either State of Local Police because someone reported a person carrying a Shotgun.* It really isn't necessary or needed for you to carry a Shotgun but if you choose to do so that is one of your Constitutional Rights to engage in.*

its as a lot as you! in case you want a holster/case to carry it then bypass for it, similar with a sling. id recommend both because the case would guard it as a lot because the point and the sling will help in the course of the search. in simple terms id recommend not having it loaded till the point the position your going to seek and watch your muzzle lol. and also make efficient you've the right license/tags or maybe with different rules shop on with to Wisconsin searching. properly i wager chuffed searching!

Wisconsin issues concealed cary permits, meaning it does not allow open carry. They do not allow the carry of long guns.
