Question on Russian Blue behavior?
Recently acquired an adult male Russian Blue cat. While petting him he'll clamp down on a finger or foot or something. Doesn't clamp down and bite - just sets his teeth. I've had my share of cats before and this is the first one to exhibit this behavior. Is this just "blue behavior" or do I have a psycho cat? :>

I showed and bred RB's for a few years - this is not a typical trait of the breed. It could have been from being taken from mom and siblings too soon and not having proper "cat" training regarding biting behaviors.
Or it could have been something else in his past from a previous owner. To stop him, tell him NO in firm voice and stop all petting. Also use "NO BITE" too.
