03 ford explorer awd front wheels are tight?
this explorer is all wheel drive and i rotated the tires yesterday and noticed that when you spin the front wheels they are very tight. is this normal since they go into the front differential. also about 4 months ago i had to replace both hub assemblies, i didnt have a torque wrench to torque the axle nut. using an air gun, could I have possible over torqued the nuts.it calls for 250nm or 184 lb/ft.

I certainly have seen rear wheel tension vehicles interior the snow and that they skid around. Having rear wheel tension would make the lower back of the vehicle slightly heavier, yet easily that's greater logical to have front wheel tension as then each and all the load is on the wheels that turn and steer. If each and all the potential is going to the lower back wheels and there is not any weight on then then the vehicle will skid in each and every single place. If I lived someplace have been 6 months of the twelve months have been wintry climate then i might decide for front wheel tension because it provides greater traction.

AWD means that you will have resistance on all wheels and its probably normal the only way your going to really know is to get all the wheels off the ground ans check the spin resistance on all 4 wheels
