I usually have a healthy eating habits, but one day I wanted to try vegan friendly food and was the worst decision of my life. If a product is label vegan it doesn't mean it is healthy, it just mean it is made with no animal product. So that is what you will eat anything that has no animal product.

PEa, you just answered your own question.
You eat plant foods. All of them. Plant based proteins, carbs, fats, everything.
Nothing animal based.
Out of all the 1000's of things to eat, you will have to see the plant based ones, and eat them.
Seriously this question is really really easy to figure out. You already answered it. If you mean, "what kind of chips and cereal and pizza can I have?" or other processed junk like sweets and pies, then you'll have to read labels.
But you answered your own question- so you have to know- does this cookie have anything from an animal in it, or not.
And do that for all food.

The easiest way to avoid animal ingredients is to avoid processed foods. Buy whole foods and cook.
The best recipe site is here: http://www.vegweb.com/
Or if you would prefer a cookbook, the Veganomicon is the best.

Veganism is not a "diet".
It's an ethical opposition to animal commodification and the resulting lifestyle.
Vegans don't:
buy or consume meat, eggs, dairy, honey
buy or wear fur, leather, silk, wool, or clothing trimmed in them
buy or use consumer products containing animal-derived ingredients or from companies whose distributors conduct animal toxicity tests
buy animals to be used as "pets" from breeders/pet stores
frequent zoos, circuses, rodeos, aquariums, or other venues where animals are held in captivity or forced to perform for human entertainment or profit
I'm assuming you're referring to the dietary portion of veganism alone,
which is called strict vegetarianism.
Strict vegetarians don't eat animal products.
They eat everything else, as to their liking.

You can have any organic vegetable or fruit in the entire world. If it grows out of the ground naturally, you can eat it.
You can't have any meat (this includes chicken and fish, just in case you're one of those geniuses that doesn't include them in the meat category), any dairy product, including cheese, milk, eggs, gelatin, cream, honey, other things that I can't remember because I stopped being vegan 6 years ago.
You also can't use any household cleaning products that were tested on animals, can't wear leather, wool, soaps that contain animal fat or milk.

I love the vegan power plate from PCRM:
http://www.pcrm.org/health/diets/pplate/power-plat...
Which includes four sections of a plate for each meal:
- fruit
- vegetables
- legumes
- seeds/nuts
Simple and it works.

Vegans can't eat any sort of meat, not even fish. Vegetarians can't eat meat but they can still eat fish.
