Do you need Malaria tablets and/or injections to holiday in Cuba from UK?

No you don't, I'm a Canadian who has visited 16 times, a friend has been there more than 60 times with nary a shot, I've never had a shot although insurance companies or drug manufacturers who may be just a little biased are suggesting shots possibly for hepatitis that's about all. As far as carrying proof of HIV negative, as posted elsewhere in this thread that is really not the case.

I've been to Cuba a few times and never worried about taking Malaria tablets. I do take insect repellent. The bugs seem to like me a lot. Probably attracted to the alcohol. Evenings are the worst. Unless you are going inland away from the beach, you should be fine. I haven't seen any travel precautions for Cuba relating to Malaria.

No...but you may want to discuss your travel plans with your doctor should you have any medical issues that would need to be addressed. Malaria in Cuba is not a problem, but I would be more concerned with hepatitis. Also, you may be required to show HIV test results. Contact your embassy.

I'm one of the lucky ones the sand fleas don't bother me and we've never had any problems with any bugs down there. We've travelled to Cuba from Canada without any jabs or tablets and I really don't think that I've seen a mosquito down there and we get lots of them in Canada
