Big fish problem, too many fish?
Bought a dalmation molly and didn't know it was a she. In 2 months she has had more than 50 babies and I don't know what to do about the overcrowding problem. I have a 15 gallon tank and unless I can get her to stop producing I don't know what to do with all these fish. I don't want to kill them and I don't have room for another tank. Please help.

"For sale, 45 small molly fish. Best offer takes them home"
A local pet shop may take them, once they are a saleable size, and may even give you a store credit. Heck I swapped 60 guppies for a new filter one time. Ask around.

Livebearers can store sperm for months if not longer. She will continue to give birth for a very long time. Best bet would be to sell them to a LFS as feeders or get something that you could use the feeders for. Mollies are extremely easy to breed (as you have seen), so not in high demand. This is always a risk when you buy live bearer females. Also, whatever you do, do it quickly because those babies will reach sexual maturity in a month or two.

Keep the healthy babies and give the mother to the pet store or some of friends who is interested
in having a dalmation molly.
Just float a ad for female dalmation molly or for the babies online in your local area.
