My cat got declawed, and a claw is still there?

Recently, I got my cat, a little over a year old, declaws in his back because he was scratching everyone. He had been declawed in the front as a kitten without much problem. However, this time, one claw appears to still be on his left paw. He is biting at it and appears to be in pain.

Well your cat needs to see the vet and probably have surgery again. I hope you got the cat and he was declawed by someone else.

Of course he is in pain, in fact he is in pain all the time but cats do not show pain because in the wild it means they will be killed.

Take him to the vet you have no other choice. The person who said they grow back fast must have just had the vet clip the claws and yes it is not going to stop them from growing. Read this and it will show you other problems you may expect.

When someone declaws a cat they are cutting off part of their finger. It is physically impossible for them to grow a nail back, because the part that used to grow the nail is no longer there.

I guess there is a chance they missed one though..
