A question for Muslims?

Hello, my question is, would it be considered offensive or inappropriate to depict Muhammed visually in any way, shape, or form? I have no wish to cause offense to him or degrade him, I am just wondering.

Im a muslim and this is from what i have learned

(not accusing) Some Muslims say the worship of Jesus (one of our our prophets) started because idols of him where build and the next generation did not understand what the idols where, but highly respected it, as the generations passed on it became a trend and people took him too high and started to worship him. This is why islam teaches not to make imagery or idols etc. This is one of the teachings of the prophet too.

If you believe in Jesus im not accusing im saying what i have heared please forgive me.

He never wanted images of him made, he wanted us to follow his example. The problem with pictures or statues is they can become idols and Muhammed never wanted to be a diety, but for us to worship Allah alone. Now seeing Muhammed in a deep sleep dream is altogether different and out of your control.

Yes it would be inappropriate to depict Muhammad (pbuh) in any way, shape or form.

    Nowadays, in a nutshell, yes.

The idea that one wasn't allowed to depict mohammed is comparatively recent. Centuries ago it was perfectly fine to draw or depict him. There are various depictions of him around; one showing him on his way to the 7 heavens, another in the pulpit of a mosque and several more. Islam makes up its 'rules' as it goes along. It's something Imams, Mullahs and other scholars spend (or should it be 'waste') their time making decisions on ....... thus justifying their positions.

    yes it would be.

For Muslims any types of insults, concerning ANY prophet is not a good thing to do.

You will not find Muslims insulting Moses because he was a stutterer, nor Jesus who was born of a virgin.

Yeah, Rule34 Allah and watch the Islam extremists burn your family alive for harmlessly drawing. As long as it's in the name of Allah, any atrocities are forgiven.
