MacBook Air or.....? Asdfghkl;?
Okay, so I go to a really nice, yet expensive school. Lots of people have laptops, and I want one pretty bad. My mom said that I can get a Mac (preferably MacBook Air), for Christmas, but that is all I will get. Also, she said I can't get a birthday present either. I am leaning towards getting a laptop , but I want to hear your takes on this issue/topic. I will be doing more research in prices, reviews, etc.

Macs are great computers but I would not recommend a MacBook air. My air lost battery very fast and when it doesn't have a slot for cd's, that makes college life really difficult. I love my MacBook pro but hated my air. Reconsider getting the air

I have the MacBook Pro right now, and I love it! I will keep this until I go to college, since it works great and has the CD slot, unlike the MacBook Air.
So I think looking into the MacBook Pro line would be good for you.
