Can I serve two years Active Duty in the U.S. Army?

Hi I want to be a Infantryman in the Army and I was wondering if I can do 2 years active duty and 6 years reserve?

    All contracts are 8 years so that four active and four reserves. Or six active and two reserves or all 8 active duty.

    In addition to the answer that is already here they actually count it as 3 years and however long your BCT and AIT lasts. My boyfriend's contract is 3 yrs 16 weeks.
