Is 5-6 hours of direct sun sun a day considered part sun, full sun, or part shade?

The area is an east wall that gets sun from about an hour or half an hour after sunup 'til noon.

    The Sunset Western Garden Book defines "partial shade" as some shade for half the day or at least for three hours during the hottest part of the day.

    Six to eight hours is considered full sun. However, east light is weak. I would consider that partial shade.
