What does this creepy dream I had last night mean?

I had a dream I was with my old best friend, and we went to the forest/park in my city. I looked back at the parking lot and I saw a car speed into the parking lot and park. It was the only car in the entire parking lot, and it was day time. I didn't think too much of it, but my friend seemed a bit nervous. We saw a big house on a hill, you could get there from a dirt path that spiralled up towards it. We heard talking from behind us and looked and there was a father I'm guessing with a son and 3 toddlers which were female, getting out of that car. We went to the house and the man and his kids were somehow already there and the man was very friendly. Me and my friend started walking around the house, the basement was the room for the girls, there was a big doll of a female baby who played soft music, and a play pen, building blocks, baby toys, etc. Just normal stuff. We walked back around and ended up in the kitchen and it was starting to get dark and I couldn't find the man or his kids anywhere. I also lost my friend somewhere. I really wanted to leave but I wouldn't go without her, I was really scared and I ran through the house calling for my friend. I ended up in the basement again, but this time the doll that was playing music's head was slowly spinning and the music changed to the most eerie and haunted sounding melody I have ever heard. I quickly ran out of there and ended back up in the kitchen again, this time half of the kitchen was covered in a deep fog, I couldn't see past it. I thought my friend might be in the fog for some reason, and went into it. I get stabbed in the chest, and the fog disappears, and I see it was the man's son who did so. I fall to the ground and close my eyes and see the three toddlers sitting there in an image in my mind. I also realize that one of the 3 toddlers was me when I was little. I was wearing the green, white and pink floral pattern dress my mother used to always dress me in as well. Then I woke up.

What does this weird dream mean? If it helps I haven't seen that friend for many years, and I don't want to either as she changed and tries to pressure me into drugs and alcohol which I am never going to do. Also the man was not my father, and I am 100% certain that one of those little girls was me when I was around that age.. Thanks.

Update:

@ A B: thank you very much, everything you said is correct. I do miss my friend.. In fact I miss all my friends cause every last one of them has went and done the same thing.. :( I do have a brother who is older than me, he's not really mysterious, he moved out just under a year ago and I miss him all the time. And yes I do crave a warm loving family.. I know my father, I have a terrible relationship with him, but a great one with my mother. Thanks again.

Since your dreams are your own psychologist, and you dream so that your mind can figure things out in your sleep, I cannot interpret this dream 100% because it would involve circumstances in your real life that I do not know all details to, so I can only come as close as possible. Well, it seems like you miss the old times. You were with your old best friend before she got hooked in that lifestyle. It symbolises nostalgia, comfort, reminiscing, and yearn for friendship comfort. The speeding car may symbolize a hurry to get home. Going up the dirt path upwards probably symbolizes something that you desire. "UP" in a dream almost always means something good, something to a higher level, or higher power. You were going up to this house bc in your dream this home was on a pedestal. You have a yearning desire for a higher level of comfort, bliss, happiness, family, nurturing, etc. The man being friendly could symbolize someone being very inviting, and your yearn for family connections and comfort, yearn for a place to call home, etc. About the doll playing music-- since it was a baby, and it was playing soft music, it probably symbolized a need for nurture, also a WARM , CALM ATMOSPHERE. Do you crave a warm, loving family and you just can't seem to achieve that? (Or perhaps you already have that, & you just appreciate it so much.) Or maybe you just don't have it and you want it. That part you'd have to decode. The play pen, blocks, etc. all symbolize a need for nurturing, a calm environment, and family. You 'lost' your friend in the house, just as you 'lost' your friend in real life, and when you lost her, it kind of scared you. You felt a little alone, and didn't want to face the fears but you did try to find her in the house, but there was too much fog. Just like in real life, you probably tried to help her, but no matter what you did, you probably felt like there was just too much 'fog' (in other words, too much baggage in her life for her to change). You want the old her back, and you can't get it back. She could be lost in the fog in real life too, if she is hooked on drugs. You miss your friendship it seems, but you know that you can't make it work bc she is in drugs. Did you have a good or bad relationship with your father- or did you know your father? The fact that the father's son stabbed you, and you were the toddler, may denote one of many things. In the dream, the person that got stabbed was the older you, but the younger you was the toddler, or the other person's little sister. Do you have an older brother? If so, is he mysterious? Did you always want an older brother? An older brother symbolizes someone that will protect you, but instead of protecting you, he hurt you. Or maybe you were a toddler witnessing something dramatic. Did you witness drama as a child? The baby turning scary may symbolize that even a seemingly calm environment can change, and things aren't always what they seem, and even the most calm nurturing things may scare you, bc you have desire for this family but fear for this family too. Did you yearn for this great family but instead got a different family? You were happy in life but you see yourself growing up looking at this happy life that quickly turns upside down, is another possibility. Relate these symbols to your childhood and current hopes/fears.

Obviously your childhood torment has translated into new subconscious dwellings in your mind. While the human brain is complicated, I can grasp that the absence of your friend in your life has affected you on a deeper emotional level. This dream could also bring the subconscious doubt of your father's identity into a stronger reality. The happy, friendly family could symbolize your own family, and may suggest that your family's current happiness is staged or in danger. I hope I was of some help.

i'm a grasp of reading desires - this is a stressful one it might desire to be which you experience forced symbolized by using getting the pillow then being asked to do yet another job earlier you even end which became to envision exterior then you certainly felt it became all too lots as you have been screaming it regarded particularly unlucky (black cat) that considered one of those subject might happen whether it did none the less and you worry so you might no longer be waiting to handle the the initiatives being positioned onto you and experience you have the toughest activity out of all of us shown by using all of us working and not being waiting to handle the disagreement and searching forward to you to

Probably it does not really mean anything, i think its trying to tell you something about your childhood though.
