Are there any famous doctors of the 20th century?
I'm doing a project for AP US History in which we become the historical figure and we play the role of the person. Somewhat like an actor where this person is your character. I plan on being a doctor as my future career and I thought it would be fascinating to play the role of an old doctor. The doctor needs to be American and the time period from where he is from is not necessary. If anyone knows a website or something I would be greatly thankful.

Dr Kevorkian! Be is generally referred to as Dr. Death but in all honesty, he felt his role as doctor meant he was responsible for caring for births and deaths along with every other aspect of health. He is the one who was imprisoned for euthanizing terminally I'll patients that wanted to die. Assisted suicide. Really a fascinating man and subject. I think if you research him you'd be impressed.
