How can I avoid violent media?

I just watched Looper yesterday, and I've spent the day feeling nauseated and sick, after a nightmare-filled night, and it looks like I'll be sick again tmr. I like movies, though. So what can I do to not have to go through this again?

Watch only G rated movies, but even they're filled with cartoon violence.

Romantic comedies are usually safe, and a lot of romantic comedies have been made. Woody Allen's movies are safe. Some movies are so whacked they're not classifiable, such as "The Rocky Horror Picture Show." This movie spoofs a lot of social conventions in a hilarious manner.

If you ever watched "Rocky and Bullwinkle" when a kid, you'll love the movie.

Well you could check reviews on movies before you go to them to make sure they are the content you want to watch.

My smart-ass point of view really would be, you could just yourself numb to the violent media by watching more violent films and just accepting them as just being a movie for entertainment purposes.
