Did Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z have the same writer?

This should probably be common sense to me, but I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. The reason I doubt it is because of the stark differences in the storylines.

    The manga, yes, bot are by Akira Toriyama. In fact the published tankoubon in japan did not make any distinction between DB and DBZ and published it from 1-42. Z started from around volume 16/17 as far as I remember. Both anime were also directed by the same guy.

    Dragon Ball GT on the other hand, is an original series not adapted from the manga and had little involvement from Akira Toriyama, it was also directed by different guy.

    Yes. Akira Toriyama wrote the manga for both Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. However, GT was anime-only.

    The guy who made DB was Akria Toryiama

    The man who made dbz was Akria Toryiama.
