How can christianity be considered monotheistic?

I know answers will blend and make up how three is one but the bible says nothing of trinity. Even jesus says when asked of the end times that only the father knows that. Now does that mean if jesus were of of three of one he isn't all knowing? And how does that make him god then? How can three be so separate in knowledge and this not be polytheism?

There is no god except God, right?

Christianity is monotheistic because it believes in only

ONE GOD, no matter how badly you long for it to be not.

Now the word Trinity is not in the Bible, but that

doesn't mean that the concept was never there.

Here are some passages which indicate the Trinity:

    The Father is God:

Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from

whom all things came and for whom we live; and

there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom

all things came and through whom we live.

    (1 Corinthians 8:6 )

    The Son is God:

The Son (JESUS) is the image of the invisible God (FATHER), the firstborn over all creation. For in him (JESUS) all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him (JESUS) and for him (JESUS). He (JESUS) is before all things, and in him (JESUS) all things hold together.

    (Colossians 1:15-17)

    The Holy Spirit is God:

Now the Lord IS the Spirit; and

where the Spirit of the Lord is,

    there is liberty.

    ( 2 Corinthians 3:17)

And if you don't believe yet that each Person

of God is distinct, here is yet another verse:

---------THE SIGN PROOF OF THE TRINITY:---------

As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw

heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending

on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven:

"You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well

    pleased."

    (Mark 1:10-11)

Also, if you have the stomach,

    the Trinity:

I know it sounds weird to non-believers and believers alike. First God is explained by the spirit of God hoovering above the waters in Genesis, then walking in the garden of Eden with Adam and Eve, then making clothing for them after their fall from Grace, then eating with Abraham, then putting the mark on Cain so he would be safe in the land after he kills Abel, then appearing as a burning bush to Moses, he wrote on tablets the commandments. Jump with me to the New Testament, the Holy Spirit descends upon Jesus, then a voice from the heaven speaks and says this is my Son with whom I am well pleased then you have Jesus in the flesh walking on water, changing water to wine, healing the sick and lame, resurrecting the dead, eating with the apostles, weeping for Lazarus, resurrecting Lydia, dying for our sins on the cross, resurrecting from the dead himself, then spending time eating with the apostles after the resurrection and even having Thomas the apostle put his hands in His wounds after His resurrection. It is written that after the Jesus ascended into heaven that the Holy Spirit descended upon His believers so much so that when they were praying it tore the roof off the house where they were praising God. It is written that Holy Spirit descends upon believers and their is this baptism in the Holy Spirit that was promised by Jesus, this is apportioned to us and it is power from God that sustains our life walk with Jesus the Christ. The bible is intrinsically trinity- laden.

And since Christians believe that Jesus Christ is God, God the Father is God and the Holy Spirit of God is God. That means were all pretty much walking and talking with Jesus the Christ, that in the beginning Jesus created the heavens and the earth (though I believe it on more of an evolutionary time frame in billions of years for days) that Jesus the Christ is the one that blotted out the sins of David in the Old Testament, and that He basically walked with all the prophets throughout all times, that His Grace covers my sins and my being, that Jesus the Christ is my salvation, my hope, that when I say God has revealed Himself to us in many ways but He is one God, that is why Christianity is considered monotheistic. Or you can say that the revelation of God has not been revealed to you and it is still a mystery that you cannot fathom. It really is a non-issue unless inside yourself, you find you are a seeker of the things of God. I still have questions but I also have faith and I hoped this helped.

I don't claim to an expert about this, but here's an example. I am a single person containing both conscious and subconscious aspects. There are many things that my subconscious aspect knows which my conscious aspect does not. That doesn't mean I am not a conscious entity, or that I don't know the things hidden in my subconscious.

You ask two questions. To answer your bolded one, yes, the Trinity is, by simple definition, but one God.

    1 Corinthians 8

5 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)

6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

That has been the credible accusation of Jews and Muslims. From someone purporting to be Christian it is not credible.

There is but ONE church, yet there are millions and millions of people in that ONE church.

So God being revealed in three persons is pretty easy to see.
