I think so as long as they are thomas cook and not amex. I want to say that I saw some Brits cashing traveller's cheques down there at the resort but I'm not 100% positive. I can tell you that we have been warned not to use Amex traveller's cheques as they will not be accepted by Amex for reimbursement when they come from Cuba. To be completely sure check with Thomas Cook to see what their policy is, if they run trips to Cuba their traveller's cheques should be good, one would think.

When we travel down there we just bring a few hundred dollars Canadian for tips and sundries, if we wish to go on an excursion we either pay for it in advance through our travel provider OR just use a credit card. Check with your credit card provider to make sure that you can use it down there. My provider used to accept charges from Cuba but being that it is drawn on an American bank operating in Canada it is now verboten to use it down there.

have a good time and safe home

Don, that's no longer to mind-blowing posting the cheque numbers on right here. needless to say you will bypass to a financial employer to verify them, verify you have your passport or 2 varieties of photograph identity with you.
