Can an adult child that is handicapped collect deceased parents SS?

My daughter is 50 and I am 70. She is handicapped and collects SSI and lives at home with me and always will. When I pass on, can she collect any part of my Social Security? Or continue her SSI or can she receive both? We live in California. Thank you

The combinded amount will not exceed $730 ($710 SSI , less a $20 disregard for SS).

If her DAC - SS benefits are over $729, the SSI will end, and she will receive the disabled child SS, probably lose the Medicaid due to income.

Correction, true DACs still get Medicaid.

Social security can say 'Yes', or 'No', to them being a DAC.

If they say yes, welfare office can open DAC medicaid, that is just like SSI medicaid.

That slipped my mind, and some states may not see it that way, but I doubt it.

I have seen some where it did not look like a DAC to the welfare office, but SSA said yes, so Medicaid was opened.

Once you went on SS retirement she became eligible for Disabled Adult Child benefits IF she became disabled before age 22.

No she can't "inherit" your SS.

I would think she should receive her own ss for disability, even now.
