Cat wants to go outside?
My cat just had kittens. 4 days ago. I have never had cats before. I got her from some irresponsible teens. She was pregnant when I got her. Yes, yes, I will get her spayed and, I know they can get pregnant quite fast.
My question is... I like to sit on my back step and, she seems to want to come out there with me. I let her but, lately she seems to be venturing further and further away. She was an "outside" cat before I adopted her. I can't get her spayed yet because her kittens are only 4 days old. She doesn't scratch to be let out. She stays close to the house but, I don't like it. She seems perfectly happy indoors. Should I let her out at all?

Better not to, especially right now. If she does ever show a desire to go out after the kittens are weaned, you can buy an enclosure for this or have one built, so she can be in the fresh air and still be safe.

Oh sure, let her out! Then she can get hit by a car and you'll have to hand feed the kittens every couple of hours twenty four hours a day for the next four or five weeks.
Of course you shouldn't let her out. Keep her indoors where she belongs. She can be spayed once the kittens are weaned at 6-8 weeks. Please do NOT hand those kittens out unaltered or you'll end potentially adding THOUSANDS more kittens to the pet overpopulation problem. If you can't afford to get them all altered then give them to a no-kill shelter when they're weaned so they WILL.
