Why does it matter if Obama is Muslim?
I say this because if he that doesn't mean anything. Does it mean that he will try to destroy this country? No that is complete and utter nonsense, all that it means is that he believes in what the Koran says like Christians to the Bible and Jews to the Torah. As well it does not mean (if he is) that he has to hate everyone that isn't Muslim. In fact in the Koran it talks about having compassion for Christians and Jews alike because they all worship the god of Abraham. But I ask this question because I've heard a lot of resent debate about it (from what I've heard form good sources hes christian) and I as just wondering why does it matter?
@ Jackie. Well no, not exactly. They teach about Muhammad being Allah's most righteous prophet. In fact in one of the main parts of the Koran Muhammad takes a night ride on a winged horse to Jerusalem, where he prays with fellow great prophets such as (but not limited too) Jesus. They teach as well forgiveness of everyone, they just have more hardcore beliefs about what should happen if someone breaks a rule. Such like they did in Christianity, but most people do not follow those rules now (such as lent, no meat on friday, if a women is not a virgin when she marries her head is cut off), as they still do in Islam. And the extremest in the middle east are the ones who ignore the parts about forgiveness, must like the Westboro Baptist Church for Christianity.

If he becomes a pure and real Muslim, he will never destroy his own country. the only thing which matters if he every is a Muslim, will be that he will be more kind towards his people, will provide mroe facilities and take more care of his country, because it's required by the Quran for a ruler to be kind, just and generous to his people.

Islam's stated goal is to replace our constitution with sharia law which is treason. Our constitution was signed in the year of our Lord Jesus.
The koran and Bible teach opposite things.
Islam said GOD has no begotten son. The Bible said GOD sent HIS only begotten son to save the world. John 3:16
Islam said Mohammad is allah's only prophet.
The Bible said Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life,no man comes to the Father but by Him.John 14:6
It makes a Big difference!! Islam is not compatible with Christianity. One of these has to be False.

The only reason it would be important or relevant is due to his denials earlier. If he denied being a Muslim and it was discovered he was, his character and credibility would be questioned. The lack of integrity could end his political power immediately.

Because many of the American population ignorantly believe(and hear) that all Muslims are terrorist that want to bring down America. People are scared.

in my opinion he is trying to destroy this country. and he has shown by his actions he would rather make nice with muslims than to take care of the people who put him in office. his actions have shown a complete disregard for the constitution which he took an oath to uphold - but that's ok because muslims are allowed to lie to infidels
he spent a good part of his childhood growing up in a muslim country. he states in his books that he stands with his muslim brothers
it matters to me because i do not believe his first allegiance is to the usa
