Can I and will I "grow out of" acne?
I've had acne for about 3 or 4 years. (I'm 17) When I was younger, I had no problems at all. I'm trying to wash my face every morning and every night now. I'm really self conscious about my skin :( Can I "grow out" of acne? And if I can, do you think I will since I didn't have it when I was younger?

Well basically everyone has no problems with acne until they have acne, and not many get it before age 10 or anything so i don't think it's all that significant that you didn't have it younger....
See your doctor for acne treatment! You should NEVER wait to grow out of acne. One of the worst things about acne is that even though it's temporary, it can cause self esteem issues and anxiety that linger long after the actual acne is gone.
As for treatment? Like i said see your doctor. It doesn't matter what the cause of your acne is when it comes to treating it: all acne can be treated by the same types of treatments; healthier diet, topical disinfectants, exfoliants, birth control, antibiotics, accutane etc--these are all treatments that can work for acne, no matter the cause (for instance even if your diet is not the cause of acne it can still affect the amount of inflammation you get). You just have to find one that works for you.
*also, all these people saying you will eventually grow out of it? Don't count on it. I'm not saying you wont but for women it IS different because our hormones continue to fluctuate past puberty. This is why many don't "grow out" of it without birth control. At the very least, you need more than face wash to treat chronic acne because no matter its cause, acne is like an infection that can spread and get out of control if you let it.

Yes, you can and will "grow out of" acne eventually. You're still young so this is a very normal thing that you're getting them. You're just at the aging developing teenage stage where you get them more often.
Drink a lot of water and eat healthy foods everyday. Exercising and keeping yourself active should help a little too so you could burn your energy and relieve the stress that causes you to break out. And just from my experience, don't use any acne removing products. They just make your face more sensitive and will cause you to break out more.
Every time when you see a new pimple or acne. Do not try to pop it when it's fresh, wash it with soap daily until its ready to be popped. If you try to pop it early, you'll irritate your skin and more acne will occur again.
I would say by the time you turn 19-21 your acne problems will go away. Trust me you'll eventually grow out of it. Just don't stress yourself too much about it because stress can cause them to form.

Most people grow up with the bible and think teaching it to children is saving them. I have read the bible and its just something I can't believe. I study Buddhism because I feel its better for my soul. I don't think people should push their beliefs on young child because its kinda brainwashing. No, I don't believe sewer faeries. The bible attacks people fears of the unknown, thats why its been around for so long. The messages are mixed but if someone can find soul lessons in it then more power to them.

if i were you i would use proactiv or use rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad on your face every night before you go to bed and after you wash your face. And yes you will most likely grow out of it, most people do. Hope I helped
Good luck xxx :)
