The spiritual importance of spelling, grammar and punctuation, do you get it?

This is a written forum. How we communicate in the written word is a big part of the impression we give to others. Yet so many religious people can't be bothered to check spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc. It's hard to take what you say seriously when my 1st grade grandson understands English better than so many of you.

If you want to come across as anything other than backwoods illiterate, don't you think you'd be more credible if you picked up your game a little bit?

So why isn't this important to you?

Update:

I don't mean people who do not speak English as their first language. I respect your attempts.

I'm only referring to people who should know better.

Update 2:

@ ANNSAN. If the message you're conveying is important to you, it's worth conveying in a manner that will be respected. Even 13 year olds should be able to form a basic sentence.

Trying to shoot the messenger like you just did is a classic Christian ploy to change the subject and pretend you made a grand point. The illiteracy on here among native speakers is doing tremendous harm to your cause, but if you're happy with that, so be it. I tried.

Update 3:

@ SHAUN. You missed the point. Typos happen to everyone. My point is that when people present a message so badly, the message is dismissed based on presentation alone. If the religious posters here want to be taken seriously, they have to come across as worthy of being listened to.

As it is it's like shooting fish in a barrel. And that benefits no one.

I do not think that the occasional spelling or grammar error, such as mixed tenses or numbers is a problem. However what I do see is that a parade of ignorance, a bizarre idea or incoherent ramble frequently goes with poor spelling and grammar, but not always.

The reality is that many do not think about what they write. Of course, some do not think at all.

They are extremely most important due to the fact following the same conventions ensures your entire readers understand what you may have written. Joyce's work did smash these conventions and that does make his work satisfactory, but it is not as though he wrote that manner at all times; these little 'experiments' many times featured in his writing as ingenious approaches. Unluckily, much less and less kids are learning the value of spelling, grammar, and punctuation. My sister is an English trainer and began working at a new college not too long ago. She's had 14 year historic scholars who contain text-language and slang into their writing and believe it's k. For example, one boy wrote something like: 'this is a bare excellent poem cos it makes u snicker lots and stuff' in an essay!

It is not so important because I am communicating. And if the message is clear by the receiver then the object of the text is fullfilled. Now I try to do my best but english is not my native language so there may be problems with it. However If you get what I am communicating then the intend is acomplished.

Spiritually, it's important to be gracious, kind and forgiving. A lot of people on here do not have English as their first language, and do quite well, considering. Others are 13 years old and still at school.

Now, if you can find it in your heart to thank God for your erudite standard, you may also think to ask Him for grace to see how you can best answer questions to help people, instead of sneering at the linguistically challenged.

If I speak (type) in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. —1 Corinthians 13:1

This is why most don't take Christianity seriously. We don't SHOW them. We simply TELL them.

I edit for spelling, but not always for grammar... because editing makes my brain bleed. :D

Many people here are simply trolling, ESL, or they're backwoods inbreeds that could care less what we think, as long as we think Jesus is lord and savior.

Some of us find getting the "word of Jehovah God" out in the public, more important than...spelling, grammar and punctuation,
