why cant the US import guns and ammo from china?
i know the clinton gun ban stopped the importation of guns and ammo to the US but it has been expired for a while and we still import guns from russia and germany and all over the world, if china makes anything well its guns. is there a legit reason they cant ship us guns anymore? please no smart or ironic comments. O yeah and i posted this on law yesterday but all the people on that part of the sight have no idea what they are talking about.
wow i had no idea. i see that china started making ar-15s and they sell their QBB rifles in civilian versions and plus all sks rifles and mac90s they still have in storage. i seen these guns on youtube, people in canada had them as they still trade with china. thanks for the info guys.

Import Ban on Assault Rifles Becomes Permanent

The Bush Administration declared a permanent ban today on almost all foreign-made semiautomatic assault rifles. Imports of the weapons have been suspended since spring.
The permanent ban affects all but 7 of the 50 models included in the spring suspension. It does not affect the far larger number of virtually identical weapons manufactured domestically, nor does it affect foreign-made semiautomatic weapons already in the United States.

I think it is mainly a trade protection maneuver to protect and promote the US firearms industry. Chinese guns are a lot cheaper than US made firearms and components and that would run US companies out of business. It s not a matter of quality, Norinco makes high quality firearms. At least that s what a lot of Canadians that own Norincos say.

The ban on Chinese manufacturers to smuggle automatic weapons into the US. The executives from two Chinese companies agreed to supply guns to undercover agents who they believed were going to sell them to gangs in the United States.

Didn't know we didn't. I know with Clinton's ban on assault weapons we stopped, but thought since 2004 we could. Guess if Feinstein gets her way we won't be able to again. She is evil incarnate looks like damien from the omen the first movie with Gregory peck.

You would not want a Chines gun. There cheaply made and are still expencive. American guns tend to be the best guns. We have Colt, Henry, and Remington. We have more brands than that but there are so many guns in the US it's not even funny. We have the #1 amount of gun manufactureres in the world. Let's not buy from foreign countries.
