Who do you think will do better this year in the NASCAR Cup series, Danica Patrick or BF Ricky Stenhouse Jr?

Neither driver will win a race. Honestly, I think Danica might have a better season. They both have very small sample sizes in Cup so far, but Stenhouse has wrecked in 3 of his 5 starts, Danica has wrecked in 4 of 10 if memory serves me right. Danica also has more top 20s so far. I predict 1 top 10 for Danica, 2 for Stenhouse, but wrecks will sink Stenhouse just like a few years ago in N'wide, and Danica will best him in points, 26th to 28th

Stenhouse will consistantly turn in better finishes that Panica. The only reason he won't always finish ahead of her is if he wrecks out or Danica gets "help" from NASCAR. B. France would gladly give his left testicle (though I am beginning to wonder if he has any) to get Danica a win. Foregoing a pit speeding penalty or fine for trying to kill someone on the track is nothing compared to the narcotic high NASCAR would get from her actually winning a race. If/when panica ever gets her first win it will undoubtably come from a fuel milage decision or NASCAR calling a race for rain delay. If panica ever gets a chance to stay out and take the lead under a rain caution past halfway the race, THE RACE IS OVER. GUARANTEED!

When it's really going to get dangerous out there is after Stenhouse dumps Danica for someone else. She is already an accident looking for a place to happen. Then it will be road rage, a woman scorned and PMS, all at 200MPH.

BTW the reason that Danica gets blamed for so many crashes is all the green paint that is found smeared on the other wrecked cars after every race.

Stenhouse has shown much more promise, though I don't expect either to come in and make a huge splash. I think Stenhouse could be competitive in several races. I have no reason to believe Danica will be very much. Stenhouse has won at the Nationwide level while Danica has not.

Wins - one of them might nab a RP race, but other than that none.

Top 5 - Stenhouse might get 1 or 2, otherwise none for either

Top 10 - Stenhouse

Position - Depends on how Stenhouse races. If it's like his 2 championships, him. If it's like when he first started in NW, Patrick will beat him easy.

That will be interesting to watch. Ricky has a huge advantage. he has been driving NA$CAR type cars for years, Danica has only driven one full season.

Her open wheel experience will help some, But so far, only one open wheel car driver has had consistent success in the Cup series. Tony Stewart is the only driver to win a championship in both Indy and the Cup series, and LOT of open wheel drivers have tried it. The cup cars are MUCH bigger and heavier, and handle totally different. I don't expect her to become elite, but I do think she's got a good start.

Look at how many drivers are out there there there that have NEVER won a race or a pole, in ANY of the major series. She is just a rookie, with just a couple cup starts last year. She'll get a LOT of grief this season, because she won't win every other race. It may take a few seasons, but I do think she will surprise some of her haters.

Every time there is a wreck anywhere on the track, she seems to get blamed. Sure she's got good equipment, about 20 OTHER cars out there have equipment at least as good. That opens the door, now you need the talent and experience to walk though that door.

To win a pole, at Daytona, your 1st time in a cup car, IS a big deal.

And any that thinks it was fixed, or that Henrick would give her better engines and risk getting caught breaking the rules, to help a competitor, should quit watching NA$CAR, and go back to pro wrestlin'.

Stenhouse. He won the Nationwide championship 2 years and is in the car Kenseth vacated with Roush/Yates engines. It would not surprise me if won a race or two this year. Danica is not as good a driver as Ricky.

Ricky for sure. But I suspect some big things from Danica this season as well. She is getting good!

A lot of it depends heavily on how good their car is this year. But based on past performance, I would put money of stenhouse. He was a lot better than Danica in nationwide last season. He won the title and Danica failed to score a single top-5 finish in 33 races. And as others have already pointed out, a lot of Indy car drivers have tried and failed in Nascar. And that includes the likes of Dario Franchitti and Sam Hornish, who were far more accomplished drivers when they moved to Nascar.

Stenhouse

At least Danica can / will be "on the pole" in more ways than one. haha.

She will most likely be on more than one pole this year. lol
