How long until my cat gives birth?

My cat is 62 days now almost done with her 9th week. I haven't noticed her looking for places to nest or any signs of milk. I made a kitten box and, set everything she needs away from all my other cats. She is definitely pregnant, she's tripled in size and, her nipples are huge. I'm not totally sure if the wight powdery stuff on her nipples is milk or something else. I saw the kittens moving in her belly a week ago and not sure when she'll go into labor. My question is how long any day now or a couple of weeks?

Definitely within a few days. Over a week would be a rarity. Cat gestation usually lasts from 62 to 67 days. About 12 hours prior to birth, the placental plug will be expelled (her water will break). Then she will start to have contractions, with each kitten being born approximately 30 minutes apart. Oh, and the cat box? I've had seven pregnant cats before, and NONE of them have ever used their designated cat box. They usually hide under the bed and do it there. But you can try. For my last cat, I put her in her cage so she could deliver the kittens in there. That actually worked out pretty well. But, anyway, back to you. If she starts having contractions but no kitten comes within an hour, call the vet. A kitten may be stuck in a breech birth (where the tail comes before the head). Some potentially problematic breeds are the Persians and the Siamese.

Cats are normally pregnant for 63-68 days - so she has up to a week to go. KEEP her inside in one room in the house with kittening box, food, water, litter pan. Plan on spaying her 8-9 weeks after delivery and rehome kittens no sooner then 10-12 weeks old.
