Why did Jesus not have a haircut?
It has intrigued me as to the purpose associated with the word, 'Nazarene' and a poss. association of this term to Jesus( probably) having long hair or hair uncut.

The oldest images of the biblical Jesus that have been found have him looking Greek with short, curly hair and no beard or mustache.

Because he was a Nazarite. When a person took the vow of the Nazarite they separated themselves from the ways of the society and became only beholden unto Yahweh. They "separated"themselves from the society and became "God's man" so to speak, not a man who answered to the customs of the society. The vow of the Nazarite is in the 6th chapter of Numbers. Among the various vows is the 5th verse of that chapter: "They must never cut their hair throughout the time of their vow, for they are holy and set apart to the LORD. Until the time of their vow has been fulfilled, they must let their hair grow long."
Among the other vows are not working for anyone else, drinking wine or eating grapes or anything from the vine. Not being near dead bodies or dead flesh. You may say that Jesus drank wine or raised Lazarus from the dead but those instances may not be literal.
Also,Jesus being a good Hebrew followed the Torah and Leviticus 19:27 says,'Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard."
Today the real Rastafarians consider themselves Nazarites. They don't drink or hold down jobs working for others (maybe self-employed or engage in sustenance farming) and they don't go near dead flesh (explains why they are vegetarian).

The vow of a Nazarene is to have his haircut after finishing his vow for one year at the age of 30. Jesus started his ministry at age 29 and he died on the cross after 14 days of his 30th birthday. Jesus was born on the 1st day of the 7th month. But since they believe the birth of an infant is the first trimester, when a child comes out of the womb, he is already 6 month old. Jesus 1st birth date would be 6 month after 7th month, we would come back on the 1st month and 1st day. That is why Mary could not recognize Jesus after his resurrection because his hair was cut and ready to offer it in heavenly temple, to Yahweh.

No if He had a Nazarite vow then He couldn't drink wine which we know that He did.
So it was just to signify His supposed place of origin: Nazareth.
