Why is Amanda Knox getting a new trial?

My guess is Knox made a deal when she was in prison, She gets freedom if she does NOT write a book about her ordeal and go on the American talk shows to promote it.

I have read that Knox has written a book and it will go on sale next month.

This brings up an embarressment that Italy hoped would be forgotten by now.

They could arrest the boyfriend and threaten to convict him again and serve 20 years in prison, unless Knox keeps her mouth shut.

particular. The Italian trial device isn't like the U. S. or British device, besides the incontrovertible fact that it is purely as honest. aside from Knox' ex-boyfriend, all the contributors consequently - the sufferer, Knox, and the until now convicted different accused, Rudy Guede - are non-Italians, so it is stupid to declare that the Italians have any incentive to steer the call one way or yet another. the priority is now in the palms of the Jury. they have heard and seen all the evidence, which we've not, and we ought to consistently go away it as much as them. Italian juries, by making use of the way, have a recognition for mistrusting police and prosecutors. Claims of "The cops are framing me!" are very not often believed by making use of American or British juries, yet they in many situations are by making use of Italian ones. because of the fact the actual evidence is incredibly damming, and "The cops planted the evidence." is incredibly plenty all the protection she has, she is possibly greater proper off with an Italian jury than she could be with an American one. on the drawback, she would be convicted, in Italy, by making use of a 2/3 vote of the jury, whilst in usa it may take a unanimous verdict. The strange judicial system in Italy allows double jeopardy and the prosecutor is too damn stubborn to know he had no case in the first place.
