I have a question about floor cleaning involving cat litter?
I have a white residue on my wood floor from cat litter.I have tried mopping but it disappears when wet then comes back when dry. I use baking soda on the cat litter, I don't know exactly whats causing it but it keeps coming back.any help would be appreciated.Thank You.

Just from experience - Cat litter is an abrasive because it is made of rocky material. What happens is the litter and the dust will inevitably come out of the pan and rest beneath the pan on the floor and around it. The slight scooting of the box when the cat uses it will over time rub away the barrier on the floor (being some finish and wax). You will need to get tung oil (if your floors are real wood) or another type of wood polish (this can happen with laminate too but you cannot use tung oil on laminate). Use an oil of some kind and it will remove the residue.
