Taxes with unemployment?

So I don't want to claim my unemployment taxes this year, is it possible that I could claim them next year and if so would I owe more considering I didn't get taxes deducted from them???

You pay tax on your unemployment benefits in the year you receive them - and claim the withholding in the year it was withheld as well. Your state unemployment department should have sent you a 1099-G with the total amounts on it. That is reported to the IRS.

You cannot claim income received in 2012 on your 2013 tax return. Unemployment benefits are taxable and reported to the IRS on Form 1099G. If you had no taxes withheld, you may owe taxes on your benefits.

No, you have to claim them for the year you got them. And the IRS gets a copy of the info you got, so you can't just try to cheat. If you do, the IRS computers will catch you, and you'll get a bill from the IRS for the extra tax plus interest and penalties.
