I love it when conservatives talk about "traditionalism"."Traditionally" black people were considered 3/4ths of a human and were considered legal property. "Traditionally" women had no role in the government and were essentially slaves to their male counterparts who "traditionally" chose to wed them to the highest bidder . "Traditionally" aristocrats ruled society and trampled on the poor. Unfortunetly, conservatives are still in a Middle Ages time warp, they're still just graduating from the Classical Ages, so they understand none of this yet.

That is not good. They should be offering you the cows as a dowry. Tell them to keep their daughters until they can afford to marry them off to you.

I believe 30 cows is the typical dowry, twice that if the daughter has big knockers!

And, of course, if your brother dies without an heir, you're *obligated* to marry his wife.

And you can have several wives. Including ones that you buy as slaves.

And, of course, if you rape a virgin, you get to marry her.

Yeah, "traditional" marriage is wonderful, let's go back to that </sarcasm>

That kind of "traditional" marriage pre-dates the religious ceremony, for sure.

Don't be fooled. When conservatives talk about "traditions" - they mean Christian dogma.

I don't care if you marry your boyfriend or not, the issue for me is that gay marriage is a States' issue and the liberals are trying to make it a Federal issue.

So according to YOU marriage involves bonding a MAN and WOMAN together.

That's what LANGUAGE says about it, too.
