seroquel xr50.. concerns?

My doctor just put me on seroquel xr 50, today. I am taking it for depression and bipolar. She went over the symptoms. I did my research abit on it and seen that it helps with sleeping. Doctor told me too. I found some stories about it making you really tired. From experience I have watched someone go through a change in medicine for depression... Made him fall asleep a lot and drool. My concern is, I have a 5 month old who needs me 24 7. Periodically through the night.. I am alone with him on weekdays and I have his dads help on weekends (longhauler). Should I be worried?

Update:

I am a light sleeper.

You could try it for awhile. But if it doesn't help at all and you get too tired to function, ask if you could try Sertraline. It's very popular and seems to work for most people. No side effects.

start at a low dose, split pill if needed then slowly increase dose to see if it suits you
