Humans in Nurarihyon no Mago?

I'm about half way through the first season of Nurarihyon no Mago, and gawd Rikuo's human friends are annoying the heck out of me. Especially Kana, falling head over heals for Rikuo's night form and not realizing who he really is, I could have told you that would happen from freakin' episode one.

So many question is... How much longer do these stupid humans plague the series? D: I heard that season 2 of the anime is more focused on Rikuo's yokai form, and the humans aren't even listed as main characters for the second season on myanimelist.com. Do the humans slowly become less and less important in the series? What about in the manga?
