If Christians are so empowered by their voting by being the current majority?

What will happen if the majority becomes Muslim and they start voting in laws that differ from Christian ideals. Would they be so willing to defend the privilege to vote laws that are discriminatory if it took away their rights as equals?

Update:

@DS M

I think you are misunderstanding my question. I am inferring that no religion has the right to create laws that impose rights based on a persons religious affiliation. Thus majority shouldn't take away rights based on dictates from their magical book. I was trying to turn the tables on Christians so they could see the error in their ways

    But they are not!

People voted for a President that would represent all the people and the country and not a religion!

    Look what happened before!

George W Bush started FIVE wars in less than eight years stating each time that it was his "God Given Duty” and in 2001 even called it a Crusade!

Not his duty to the electors!

    Not his duty to America!

Just his duty to keep slaughtering heathens for his god!

Causing trillions of dollars of national debt that will take decades to repay and 46 MILLION Americans living below the poverty line that Mitt Romney does not care about! He assured Israel that he would take America to war with Iran that would cost ten times the debt and American lives and all for a foreign country and not for American reasons!

So forget the silly claims for Christian numbers and look at reality!

The churches own figures show only 28% who claim to be Chrsitian ever attend church in a year. Indeed if 28% ever tried to attend church on the same day, even working shifts, there is simply not enough churches!

But count the bars - in many places there is more space In the bars than the churches!

Count all the seats in every church in a town and compare that to the population and it is very unlikely to achieve even 5%!

This is true right through the bible belt and in Salt Lake City!

Go on have the courage to count the seats!

Then try attending a service in each church and see how many of those seats are empty!

muslims voting in sharia law, has already happened, and is already happening .

there would be war and religious war, again between christians and muslims, if muslims try once to kill an american christian on their own homeland.

the reason we have freedom of religion in the united states is to allow christians majority rule no matter what sect or denomination. christians are the most tolerant of all religious societies. so i am told.

i would like to believe that if a muslim came to this country and was given freedom of religion that He would be respectful and courteous enough to give the same freedom and liberty even to christians.

then i would hope that such freedom of faith and religion would be considered a true heavenly right of God and that it would spread to all nations muslim or christian or not.

Assuming that you are talking about the United States (remember, there is more than one country in the world), this is why it is so critical to maintain separation between church and state. Remember that little bit of the Constitution? This is why it's important to oppose the hold any religion has over political power, Christian, Muslim, or Martian. Remember how mad it makes you Christians whenever secular powers oppose your attempts to inject christianity into our politics? Well, here is the other side of that coin. Keep all religion out, and you won't have to worry about the Muslims getting in.

    .

This is why all the panics over Sharia law in the U.S. are just absurd.

Islam is not that far off from Christianity. It might be different but Muslim countries are free enough. They don't like communist and Islam is a religion. It's not a political believe. Many Americans have already sold their souls to Islamic countries for Oil.

As we are a constitutional democratic republic, the government should represent the will of the people. If "the people" are mostly comprised of Muslims, then that is the will that the government should represent. That being said, there are safeguards to protect the rights of the minority, whether that minority is race, religion, or anything else.

I remember my dad bitching about a foot washing station in Detroit. According to my dad, Detroit was going to use public funds to build a washing station for the Muslims who live in the city. My dad was livid. He said that Muslims should raise their own funds to build their foot washing stations.

I pointed out that Jesus took part in foot washing. I mentioned that taxes were used in whatever way voters and their elected representatives choose. My dad does not LIVE near Detroit. He said there is a separation of church and state and no one can just build stuff for their own religion with public funds.

I asked my dad if he thought that cities should quit decorating for Christmas. Of course not. That's a Christian holiday.

This is just one of the many reasons why separation of church and state is important. The state needs to respect and protect the rights of all citizens, not just the majority.

They'd suddenly decide they were all in favor of the separation of church and state, and claim the First Amendment protects religious minorities. Then they'd pretend they always taught that.

You are one of those people who comedians interview who are totally clueless to US history. Proud of your liberal education aren't you.

Now pick up a book and read. Know that the answer was answered by the founders.

Then read about Muslim barbaric history...past and present.

***white eunuchs were captured during the conflicts that arouse between the Ottoman Empire and the Balkan countries. Black eunuchs were captured from Egypt, Abyssinia and the Sudan. Black slaves were captured from the upper Nile and transported to markets on the Mediterranean Sea - Mecca, Medina, Beirut, Izmir and Istanbul. All eunuchs were castrated en route to the markets...

Sandali, or clean-shaven: The parts are swept off by a single cut of a razor, a tube (tin or wooden) is set in the urethra, the wound is cauterized with boiling oil, and the patient is planted in a fresh dung-hill. His diet is milk, and if under puberty he often survives.

The eunuch whose penis is removed: He retains all the power of copulation and procreation without the wherewithal; and this, since the discovery of caoutchouc, has often been supplied.

The eunuch, or classical thlibias and semivir, who has been rendered sexless by the removing of the testicles..., or by their being bruised..., twisted, seared or bandaged.

Black eunuchs tended to be of the first category: Sandali, while white eunuchs were of the second or third categories, thus have part or their entire penis intact. Because of their lack of parts, black eunuchs served in the harem, while white eunuchs served in the government (and away from the women). At the height of the Ottoman Empire, as many as six to eight hundred eunuchs served within the Seraglio (palace). Most eunuchs arrived as gifts from governors of different provinces. At the end of their training as young eunuch pages, eunuchs were assigned to service.*** 1

***Islam does not consider rape to be a crime against a woman. It is a crime against their fathers and husbands. There is no crime involved in a husband raping his own wife. That is a ruling Muslim scholars continue to preach today. And the UK’s Islam Channel was shut down for broadcasting that view. Under Islamic law, a husband is fully entitled to beat his wife if she refuses to service him until she finally consents. The woman has no control over her body. Only the men she belongs to do.

The Burka placed responsibility on women to defeminize themselves and mark themselves as property. Centuries of Islamic jurisprudence put the burden of responsibility for any assault on a woman as the object that tempts men to sin. The circular reasoning of Islam says that if a man assaults a woman, it is because she tempted him. That femininity is inherently an object of temptation. The Burka and the Hijab began as a way of defeminizing women for their protection, but then became an indictment of women. Women were no longer being defeminized to protect them, but to protect men from them.

Why else do women have to be defeminized, their faces masked and their voices silenced, if there isn’t some terrible mysterious force about femininity that causes men to act out? That is exactly what the first president of Iran claimed, when he said that, “Scientific research had shown that women’s hair emitted rays that drove men insane.” More recently an Iranian cleric explained that women who do not dress modestly corrupt men and cause earthquakes. The flight routes of Iranian planes had to be diverted from a stadium where women played soccer for fear that their hair rays might affect passengers in the planes above.*** 2

    Edit

Witness, go to Muslim run countries and see how other religions are persecuted so you can be sure of what would happen here.

    Edit

Sapere Aude, thank you for your confession that the intent of your question was different than what you asked and that you expected me to read your mind and agree with your opinion rather than deal with the historical Islam.

You do have the right to your opinion regardless how wrong and misinformed. As you have no regard for Christians, I wouldn't expect a warm welcome from those you consider beneath you.

Christians have always began as a minority,God can always do with an minority what others can't do with an majority.
