Will I get into Northeastern?

Hi, I am a junior at the top public school in my state.

I have a 3.3 GPA average and scored 2010 on my SATs.

I have three part time jobs

-ski instructor

-intern at a medical office

-babysitter

I also am in several clubs

-yearbook (1 year)

-writers club (1 year)

-reading club (3 years)

-drama club(3 years)

-chorus (3 years)

-best buddies (2 years)

- I took the national Spanish exam twice

As well as competitively ballroom danced outside of school.

I am a female, white girl and my cousin and uncle went to this school.

    I don't know really know if you'll get in. You might, but there's a good chance that you won't. A couple of my friends got into Northeastern for engineering this year, but they're both ridiculously smart, plus they had the girls-doing-engineering advantage. I'm guessing from your extra-curriculars that you're not doing engineering. I don't know as much about the other schools at Northeastern, but I think it's pretty competitive. Your SAT score and GPA are decent, but not really impressive. It's good that you've held jobs; colleges like that. Your clubs are ok, but they don't show off commitment and dedication the way playing a sport or an instrument for ten years would. So, you could apply, but make it a reach school.

    Your GPA is too low; unless you are really famous in the competitive ballroom circle, I'd say your chances are pretty bad using strictly stats (your EC's aren't that good either).
