Husqvarna riding mower with a 21 horse Kohler Courage engine that will not start?

This machine has just 29 hours on it and up until now there has not been any problems at all. Used it last weekend to mow, worked fine, started just fine. Parked it where it is always parked until today. Tried to start it and it will not start. It will not even hit like it is trying to start. Engine cranks over fine. I have checked for spark from the plug, and it has good spark, even put a new plug in thinking the new plug might help, but that didn't help either. I checked the fuel flow to the carb and it has good fuel flow. I checked the fuel flow up next to the carb so I could see if the filter might be the problem but the flow is good. I checked the wires I could see and get to for loose or dirty connections but everything seemed ok. What am I missing here? I even sprayed a little WD-40 into the carb to see if it would hit on the WD-40 but it would not hit on it either. I also checked it to make sure it isn't flooding, and it is not flooding. Checked the oil level to make sure it was still full, and it is. It has fresh gas in it but still no start or a hit. A friend said it might be a fuse that has blown, but if that is the case, wouldn't there be no fire from the spark plug? It acts like it is not getting any fuel but with spraying the WD-40 straight into the card, it should at least attempt to hit I would think. Anyone got any ideas what else to check for? Thanks in advance for any info anyone can provide.

WD40 is the wrong item to spray into the intake. Use starting fluid with one short burst. Is the air filter loaded with gas? Not the fuel filter..There is a fuel shut off at the left side near the bottom of the engine. If a speck of debris gets in that electric shut off, the gravity fed fuel will flood the large air cleaner and it will not start. Remove the gas tank and install a manual shut off in the fuel line just after the gas tank. Shut off that manual valve when u finish mowing that day. Then turn the fuel shut on the next time u mow. U can use the heel of your hands to turn the engine counterclockwise on top of the engine while the engine is not running. This will put the cylinder at the best firing position. Now spray the starting fluid into the fuel port after taking the air filter off. Start the engine

The problem is is that its a Kohler Courage. The Courage is the worst engine on the market today and a disgrace to the Kohler name. It has horrible reliability. And you got to have courage to own one! The Kohler Command on the other hand, now thats a good engine!

Remove the spark plug and put a teaspoon of gas into the hole, replace the plug and try to start it. If it starts and dies you know you have a fuel issue. Don't know if that engine has a fuel shut off solenoid on the carburetor or not. Look for an electrical connector to the carburetor. If there is on make sure the the connection is clean and tight.
