Has president Obama made any mention of GMOs or labeling since he was elected?
I know he mentioned that 'labeling them was a good idea' in his campaign in 2008, but has he said anything else about it since?

He doesn't really care about our food.
Another said it--He signed a bill protecting (indirectly) Monsanto. And it has many in a uproar who want our food to be safer
People should research more on it.

And dangerous in more ways than just eating which is far from healthy and we haven't began to even seen all the long term affects, although we have seen some already- but to our environment also
Last year, 71 percent of all GM crops grown were genetically engineered to be herbicide resistant. A field can now be sprayed with chemicals and everything will die except for the resistant crop. The sales of one of the herbicides being used are predicted to rise by $200 million as a result.
Graham Wynne, Chief Executive of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, says: "The ability to clear fields of all weeds using powerful herbicides which can be sprayed onto GM herbicide-resistant crops will result in farmlands devoid of wildlife and will spell disaster for millions of already declining birds and plants."
There are also GM virus-resistant crops. Prof Joe Cummins says: "Probably the greatest threat from genetically altered crops is the insertion of modified virus and insect virus genes into crops - genetic recombination will create virulent new viruses from such constructions. The widely used cauliflower mosaic virus (present in the GM soy and maize currently on supermarket shelves in the UK) is a potentially dangerous gene. It is very similar to the Hepatitis B virus and related to HIV. Modified viruses could cause famine by destroying crops or cause human and animal diseases of tremendous power."
I wouldn't depend on Obama here, he hired that guy to be in charge of Agriculture who help put the poison BGH in our milk. And he knew it was bad. A man who was into chemicals on our food highly. And Obama listen to many he shouldn't- that is a fact. He rarely dwells more than surface of many things. He sure like to brag health in this nation for one who doesn't do much to protect ours
Shame our food that we consume--and is part of our health, isn't put high on priory here. We have allowed things other countries have banned totally they are so bad. I wish that would change, it really upsets me
And if one would STUDY it and not just accept our governments word for it--they will see money is a big factor--isn't it always?

the only thing i heard/saw was someone posted something on facebook angry that he didn't ban them or something
i still have yet to hear what the problem is with GMOs
except a bunch of people saying 'they don't know' or calling it frankenstein food
which sounds like paranoia to me
Someone told me GMOs are just plants given hormones and there's nothing wrong with them
and with potatoes for instance, it makes them grow faster

the biggest mistake is that he persisted the Bush custom of bailing out companies that would not sustain themselves. no rely how enormous they have been, they needed to pass down. even however Bush bailed AIG, Obama don't have allowed them to maintain bonuses for the very experts that sunk the business enterprise. If those experts have been disillusioned approximately it, enable them to pass get a job washing vehicles or bagging groceries. additionally, he did not clarify to anyone that 8 years of irrational deficit could not in all threat be eradicated in 6 months.
