Cost of car maintenance?

Anybody else keep tab or know how much their beloved car costs to maintain? I have a 2003 1.6 Zafira since 2/10/2010 and so far it has cost £2479.84 not including tax or insurance. Works out at £79.41 month. All we have had is the usual tyres odd exhaust and the odd normal things you would expect of a car that age, Nothing major, but it is surprising how it all adds up

Update:

Includes every drop of oil, every light bulb etc. Also two cam belt changes and partial exhaust, brakes etc. I use a very cheap mechanic but do quite high mileage.

Holy sh1t, that's a ridiculous amount to spend on a cheap family hatch if it excludes tax and insurance! Are you sure those figures are correct?

I've spent about £500 a year on average in servicing and replacement parts on a Jag XJR over the two and a bit years I've had it, about half what you're spending on a Zafira!!

I agree with Evelyn, that's a vast sum to be spending running a run of the mill family car, especially when you say nothing major has gone wrong and tax and insurance aren't included. Either you must be doing a high mileage or getting it serviced etc by someone with scary high labour charges. It should be costing you about half that if you're doing 10-12k miles a year.
