The '96 Tacoma came with different OE tires sizes. 225/75-15 and 31X10.5-15 were both stock. Which is yours? If will greatly differ on your available choices.

Inside intent they are right, we have a situation when cornering a automobile called oversteer and understeer, understeer is when even though the entrance wheels are turned to make the corner the automobile wishes to preserve going straight forward this can be a 'stable situation' and is comfortably corrected by means of taking your foot of the accelerator which to most drivers is a usual response anyway and the car will then comply with the course wherein the front wheels are pointing, oversteer is an 'unstable situation' that is when the rear wheels need to slide out of line and is corrected by changing into the skid nevertheless if you have long gone into the corner to hard and your again finish starts to slip then to right you become the skid you might be turning into the oncoming lane of traffic, no longer quite have been you want to be, so in the event you simply let the again slide you'll on the whole do a 360deg spin and in the event you happen to be riding a SUV then it is going to in general roll as good, in case you watch Worlds wildest Police videos the police consistently hit the villain within the rear quarter to result in on oversteer condition so that the motive force loses manipulate. Most manufactures build in understeer even though with rear engined cars oversteer is a ordinary situation hence they're more prone to spin out of control and/or roll over. Truely it can pay to have just right Tyre's all circular, however for safeguard ----------- would you've got the fine Tyre's on the front or rear?

Kelly Safari TSR tires (31x10.50) are what I have found to be the best for snow and mud, but they are kind of noisey on pavement. Any tire that is going to be good in snow and mud will be loud on pavement though, which is why we always ran 2 sets of tires, summer and winter, in West Virginia.
