    Yes.

    1. The mice may be carrying diseases which can possibly spread to cats through the food.

    2. Mice can live in huge groups and breed like crazy - We once had a mouse infestation because we caught a few mice in a rabbit food bag in an outside building. My sister accidentally let two go, and they must have been a male an female because we ended up with loads, they chewed up everything they could, we had mouse droppings everywhere and it took months to get rid of them all.

    3. Chewing - they could damage all kinds of expensive equipment, chew through the storage bags and containers and anything that is supposed to go off to the supermarkets or wherever the food goes to.

    4. If they get into the food or trucks, and are then carried off with the food, they could then infest the supermarket/pet shop ect.

    5. If they end up dying, you could end up with other predators that sniff out the bodies, as well as the possibility of nobody noticing and it decomposing and bringing in all kinds of insects and bugs that may be carrying disease, someone may accidentally end up mixing a body in the food, ectect.

The Health Department would close them down if that were to happen.
