Do seniors still party on friday nights?

Well, I know a group of senior women that will go to the casino on Friday night and after gambling, they gather at one of their houses and will play cards until the wee hours of Saturday morning. Thank goodness that group of senior women didn't do it last night . . . or I'd still be in bed!

Not often on Friday nights, but some Saturday nights and it so happens that tonight is the night. We have been invited to a party, it starts at 8.00pm until about 2.00 am so I don't expect we will be home much before 3.00 am.

I have just spent 30 mins on the treadmill and about to do some sit-ups and press ups to make sure I'm fit enough.

I will be 74 in a couple of months but I have no intention of leaving the party of life quietly and sedately. I will be a long time dead and when the fat lady sings, she sings forever.

Oh yes BUT the party starts early and ends way before 8pm!

Share a bottle of bubbly with my husband and listen to Pandora music and relax, don't answer the phone or any knocks on the door.

The problem is we usually pass out asleep before 8 pm since the drinks knock us out.

Have plans soon to check out the live music at the beer garden in the city park near our flat.

For the price of a couple of beers you can hear live music , everything from Beatles to AC/DC with good young musicians doing their best to sound like the orginal artists.

Some are very good and some are laughable but it is all fun.

Have to forget about the long winter months of isolation and get out and enjoy the summer nights.

We partied with a fire in the back yard, then came inside to watch the Indians beat the Mariners.Planning to buy tickets to the next Friday home game! Yeah!

No, I never party. Friday night is like any other night. Well, maybe I lied. My wife sent me to the store for some bananas and I put an ice cream sandwich in the bag expecting to hide it, but she found it 30 seconds after I came through the door.

Yes, when we are camping this bunch of old geezers has been told to quiet down a few times! We have such a blast! Our group of campers is pretty crazy fun. We are democrats and republicans, Christians an Athiests, very wealthy (not us) and lower income and none of that matters because we like each other for who we are and we have great party times!

That's about the extent of our party times...two or three times a year. We are starting to go to bed earlier and haven't been told to quiet down lately.

This dancing lady's days of party fun is long over. I want to be home by 9 PM now. LOL

I just want to enjoy my senior years in peace and solitude, away from everybody now.

Which one is Friday Night?

nothing regular for me - mostly peaceable life - go out on my frequent visits to the city

Yes we do. Fridays are the same for everybody. It's TIME TO PARTY!!!
