Why is my eye swollen?

When I woke up this morning, my right eye felt like it was bruised and like I had a black eye. I looked in the mirror and it looked a little red and it was swelling. It's really swollen and red on the inner corner of my eye, and underneath my eye. Off to the side, it's a little blue and swollen, as well. What could have caused this? I haven't hit my eye on anything at all.

    Maybe you have pink eye? Because usually when you have pink eye your eye swells up
