How would you define circumcision for both male and female?

I know that it happens to both male and female, and I'm trying to define it for both.

one thing that's universal in both is that they both remove the most sensitive and most stimulating parts of the genitals. However, with MGM it can't be reversed at all properly, and also removes the part of the genitalia which exist for hygiene and protective purposes as well as simply the most sensitive parts of the penis. Both are done for the same reasons with the same propaganda surrounding both. So it's the removal of the most erogenous tissue of the genitals.

Once rooted in a society these practices (superstitions) are very difficult to end, and many times you will see supporters put forward the same reasons for both types ... better appearance, healthier, less infections, and improved moral behavior, also unfounded fears of something terrible happening if you discontinue these superstitious behaviors.

Both types of circ remove areas w/high concentrations of nerves. When people say the clitoris is removed they are unfamiliar with the female anatomy, The clitoris is a large Wishbone shaped organ that is mostly internal. The tip of the male penis and similarly the tip of the female clitoris are cut or removed during circumcision.

Circumcision is most often practiced as a ritual mutilation of infants' genitals. It can be performed later in life, or for legitimate medical need, but these instances are rare.

In males, it consists of the removal of the foreskin and most or all of the frenulum. In females, it can consist of the removal of the clitoral hood (analagous to the aforementioned male circumcision), or it can involve the removal of the entire clitoris and/or labia minora.

It means cutting skin around the penis or clitoris. For males it is typically done near birth for health or hygiene. For females it is usually done as an adult to improve sexual pleasure.

The term used to be inaccurately applied to FGM and is still used by anti-circumcision activists to describe it for rhetorical purposes.

    Mutilation of the natural genitals.

It is known that SEX is much more pleasurable with all of one's NATURAL penis. The parts of the penis that are cut off are some of the most highly innervated parts of the human. The lips, nipples and fingertips have similar touch sense. To take this away from another person without their consent is heinous. To do this to a newborn baby is creepy, child abuse and a human rights VIOLATION.

Male circumcision is the removal of the foreskin, female circumcision is the removal of the clitoris(genital mutilation. The former is shown to reduce sexually transmitted infections and cause less health problems vs uncircumcised. Female circumcision is removal of the clitoris[like removing the glans(head of penis) on a male] to discourage woman from desiring sex and having premarital sex.
