My cats just been spayed. How Long before I should let her out ?
She has had stitches after being spayed which need to be removed by the vet next week. Do you think I should let her before her stitches are removed or not

No don't let her out before she has her vet check and stitches removed next week, she can snag her stitches plus risk infection to her new surgery wound, another thing she still has the drugs in her system for the first 48 hours so can easily miss judge things,
according to our vet when our cats were spayed we were not to let them out until stitches were removed,i know she will want to go and almost plead at the door but don't give in its for her own safety,as soon as the stitches are out then yes she can go as long as her check up goes well(it usualy does),
ours went out for longer than usual when let out after a week as if making up for lost time!

Do not let her out, because she could have a fight with any animal, and her stitches could be ripped out. Or she could scrape it against a thorn bush, and it might fall off. Keep her for another week after the stitches are removed.

No, stitches can tear if she tries to jump over something or gets snagged on something. Keep her in and then when you get the stitches out ask the vet how much longer she should stay in.

I believe you should wait until after the stitches are removed so that your sure nothing bad will happen to your cat.

Wait until all stitches are out and even then, she should be supervised outside - not allowed to just roam wherever she choses and you not know what she is doing.

i dont think it would be so good to let her out because she might tear it open again or get dirt in the wound.

How about NEVER? Your cat's going to end up run over by a car, eaten by a coyote, killed by a loose dog. Really care that little for it?
