A conundrum for the holiday weekend - the mysterious case of the missing dog bowl?
Public holiday in UK this weekend and thought you might have a bit of fun with something that's been driving me mad.
Here's the thing.
My dogs each have a stainless steel bowl.
They eat their meals in their own individual bowl and each dog has its own designated 'dining area' in the kitchen.
Thursday. PM . Dogs eat. Same routine as usual, as it has been for years.
Meal ends, bowls washed.
Friday. AM.
Dogs have an egg for breakfast in own bowls.
Friday 11 a.m. emergency and I had to leave the house urgently and unexpectedly for a couple of hours. Bowls had to be left in situ.
Friday. PM. Dinner time.
One (large) dog bowl missing.
I've searched:
Utility room, bedrooms, garden, kitchen, living room, hallway, downstairs loo.
I'm totally at a loss as to where this bowl can be.
The dogs don't have access to outside when I'm not there and there's no one else at home.
It's driving me crazy that a large and solid item can disappear so mysteriously and without a trace.
Any suggestions welcome.
Have you had a similar problem and where did the item turn up in the end ???
Have a good break everyone in UK.

I had the exact same problem when I went out briefly and left behind a huge, bright red kong wobble toy.
I came back, not 30 minutes later.....Could I find that bloody toy? Not in a million years. It took me a couple hours of searching to find that my BC had managed to wedge it under the sofa....So much so that she would have had to physically force the weight of the sofa upwards in order for it to pass under....
Dogs do some mysterious things and I'm afraid you are going to have to look in places that don't make sense....That's how I found the toy....
I wish you the best of luck!

Had this problem too. We have 4 dogs who each have a stainless steel bowl. My dog prefers eating her dinner in her cage. And her friend Xena eats her dinner near the TV. While Casper eats his either in the hall or in the toilet(room). Zeus eats his in the kitchen as the males are not allowed together.
There are so many places where bowls can be. Behind cupboards maybe, I'm talking about bookcases. Or anything you haven't thought of.

Look under the furniture. The height of the bowl is maybe three inches / eight centimeters. That is low enough to slide under most pieces of furniture. So grab a torch and get onto your knees.

I have had a similar problem. Found it under the reclining chair. Look under all furniture. My dogs (5) finish eating and travel to the other bowls to lick them. Kinda funny, they all do it. This bowl was licked under the chair.

Maybe try looking under things?
My dog had a 'phase' where she hid her food bowl underneath things.
