My favorite character is Isidor Dementyev. He's a Russian teenage boy who immigrates to America with his friend Maxsim. He is by far the most selfish and vain person you could meet. He is sassy and adorable and he'll only be kind to you if he likes you, but he makes lots of judgments. He only loves Maxsim more than himself and they eventually get together. He isn't mean to people with low self-esteems, but he's mean to mean people. He's kind of a vigilante but also kind of a b-word. Actually, he's a huge b-word. He sounds like a person that you wouldn't want to be friends with, but he's actually that one friend that is so annoying but you still love them. He's not horrible, he just has horrible moments. I really like him because he's different than the rest of the characters I've written. I've never written someone who was mean and selfish, but I still made him likable. And he doesn't reflect my character AT ALL.
a) 4, he can be friendly but only to people who don't annoy him.
b) 10, he is absolutely hilarious and I loved writing for him and his sassy ways
c) 6, he's actually pretty charming when he wants to be, like when he's trying to win over Maxsim
d) 7, he's smart, but only smart school wise. He's really dumb common sense wise though. He's incredibly ditzy to say the least, but he had to get tutored before he could go to school
e) 1, he's not quiet. Ever. Never is he quiet.
f) 5, he's very in the middle on this
g) 9, yes he's weird.
h) 6, he has many secrets and so he'll keep secrets and only his closest friends can trust him
i) 3, no he's hardly sentimental, only to Maxsim and his six friends. He also cares for the people who get picked on, but only because he doesn't like the people who are picking on them.
j) 8, to everyone except for Maxsim he's unpredictable, but Maxsim knows him so well he always knows what he's thinking

Hi :)
Errrr... my favourite? I feel like all of my characters have the potential to be my favourite in different ways, but I'll go with my MC, Mathew.
He's the character I feel like I've developed the most over time, to the extent now where I don't even have to think about his reaction to something. We do share traits, although not so much that he's a self-insert. I like him so much because over the length of my story he has to adapt so much, and hopefully when I'm done the reader will be able to see his character development too.
BQ - Mathew:
a) friendly
2/10 (on a good day)
b) funny

c) charming

Hi!
My favorite character that I've created is probably Nathan (Nate) Hooper. He is 21 years old and the middle child in his family. He's quiet (though not shy), mostly to himself, and intelligent. Nate is not good at talking about his own feelings and emotions, but he is a great listener, especially when it comes to his youngest brother, Charlie. Charlie often reiterates Nate is the person he trusts most in the world. Nate attended college but didn't finish because after his mother died he decided to move back home to be with Charlie and help take care of him. He does plan on finishing once Charlie graduates high school.
The reason I like Nate so much is because this was the first time I've given a character so many physical handicaps. That, and he's so different from my other characters in the way that he communicates more with his eyes and body language rather than his words. He has a hearing aid in his right ear due to repeated, severe ear infections when he was younger. He has an immunodeficiency and undergoes sub-q infusions once every two weeks. Nate doesn't try to let his condition hold him back, but his older brother is very protective of him and would rather have him in a plastic bubble or something.
a) friendly-- 9. When you get him to talk, he's a total sweetheart and very polite.
b) funny-- 3. Not much of a jokester. But that's not to say he lacks a sense of humor.
c) charming-- 5. Wasn't sure what to put for this one. Some girls think he's got that "quiet and mysterious" thing going. He's more likely to be considered "charming" by people over 40.
d) intelligent-- 8. He's no genius, but his strongest subject was math. Was going to school for engineering. He notices a lot of little details and is able to quickly do calculations in his head.
e) quiet-- 9. Haha, if that wasn't already obvious.
f) practical-- 8. He's practical in the situation, however impractical it may be.
g) weird-- 3. Putting a 3 because to people who don't know him, his quietness may be considered strange, but other than that there's nothing that would really toss him in the 'weird' category.
h) trusting-- 10. He's never lied to his brothers and believes in honesty. Tries to teach morals like this to his little brother.
i) sentimental-- 6. This was a tough one... I don't want to explain it, though.
j) unpredictable-- 3. With a few rare exceptions, yeah, he's pretty predictable I guess. Haha

My favorite character's name is Karma Juarez. She's quiet, smart, and family oriented. She is a very selfless person and gives of herself very easily.
Some of her more negative traits are mine- bad temper, drinking straight from the carton, talking back to parents, etc. Karma is mostly like someone I would aspire to grow into. Accuracy on a scale of 1-10
a) friendly 3 (she's shy, so she doesn't approach people, but she's friendly if approached)
b) funny 7
c) charming 8
d) intelligent 10
e) quiet 10
f) practical 9
g) weird 7
h) trusting 4
i) sentimental 10
j) unpredictable 1

The character I am working on right now is close to my heart. Her name is Kara Grania and I think the 2nd question describes what she is like. I like her because she isn't perfect, and she's stupid, and she does get affected by her situations. I want her to be real not amazing. I think she has a bit of my personality because while writing her I am thinking of what I would do in these situations, but then also adding her personality in her descisions.
a) friendly- 9/10
She is quite nice except if you are annoying her.
b) funny- 8/10
Well I hope she turns out funny, but I find her witty lines fun.
c) charming- 5/10
Just average, she is the type you grow to like.
d) intelligent- 4/10
She's not smart, she's average. She does have a wicked sense of what's right for others
e) quiet- 2/10
No. Just no, unless something is up.
f) practical- 3/10
She is useless with any talents except her athletic abilities and moral compass.
g) weird- 5/10
Eh.
h) trusting- 10/10
One of her biggest flaws is being too trusting, and her trust worthiness is one of her biggest strengths.
i) sentimental- 4/10
Meh.
j) unpredictable- 4/10
She does what she thinks is right.

Missed you, Jay! <3
I like my main character, Rhian, because she's kind of like me in terms of she has problems but doesn't necessarily like to talk about them. It gets to a point where she finally blows. Also, she is head-strong and loves her friends, she'll do anything for them.
Also, my second favourite character is actually a minor one. She was just a character who appeared once or twice, but during my rewrite she got a much larger part. She knows what it is to be bullied so helps Rhian out - ends up as a very sweet scene, and she's a very nice character.

Patience Hollingberry (it's also my favorite name!). She turned out not to be a very big part of my story, but I'm thinking about expanding the short story I wrote into a novel, so she'll have a bigger part in that. Anyway, she's a pushy, gossipy 13-year-old Puritan in 17fh-century Massachusetts who convinces her friends to join her in a fortune-telling ritual she learned from her family's slave. She has NO idea what a can of worm she's about to open...
I think I like her because she's spirited. She's not really a good person--in fact, she's going to egg on the main character, who's flighty and submissive, as the main character accuses the slave of being a witch. She gets a real kick out of power and manages to find it even in a rather oppressive society.
BQ:
1) 6--she can be charismatic, but in truth she is rather selfish
2) 3--no one is terribly funny in any of my stories
3) 8--she is good at luring people in; they consider it a genuine tragedy when she is "possessed" (though she's probably faking it)
4) 7--very intelligent, but uneducated
5) 2--She's a gossip and a chatterbox
6) 7--she immediately sees how she can gain power, and seizes the chance
7) 5--Average, I think; for the society, I think she's relatively normal
8) 5--Again, average; her friend is EXTREMELY trusting, and Patience takes advantage of this
9) 5--Her sentiment doesn't really get tested very much in the story, so it's hard to say.
10) 7--She's more impulsive than average; she likes to do unexpected things and watch how people react to them

Since my heroes are always male and I'm not, they aren't very close to me. My current hero is a composer musician and former police lieutenant who drinks gourmet coffee and HATES leaving the underground cities he's lived in all his life to take a stroll in hundred degree weather.
I hate coffee, can't even play music, and I've never worked in law enforcement. Although I would like to live in an underground city and not have to deal with hundred degree weather, I can't. The major thing we have in common is he gets lost in his music as badly as I get lost in my writing.
MURDER IS BLISS and TO MARRY AND SUSPECT are both coming out this summer.
