How can I stand out to these colleges? Tips, Advice, Etc?
Hi! I am really counting on getting into one of the following colleges: Texas A&M, North Carolina State University, University of North Dakota, or University of California Davis. Some of these colleges are VERY selective. I am a rising sophomore in high school right now, so I have time to get my unweighted gpa up (it's only a 3.6 right now.. I am trying to get it to 3.95). I took all honors classes freshman year except math, but this year I am taking two math classes-one honors class and one not honors. I am rising into French III. I am in Key Club and am joining Bible Club this year. I play lacrosse but I'm not very good... How else can I stand out to these colleges? I hope to be a bio major with French minor, and go to graduate school to get an MD or DVM.
money is not the issue right now, my family is fully supportive of me going to med school.

Do you realize that it will cost $30,000-$40,000 a year to attend a university out of state, which will not be covered by financial aid or loans? Your family will have to pay up to $160,000 for you to do that. Med school is another $200,000 on top of that.

The expression "rising sophomore" is not only dumb, it's immature. It means nothing.
