Is man equal to God? How is it logical the traditions of men should have equal authority to God's Word?

Definitely not!! We are mere imperfect human beings. Jehovah is our creator and he can see in our hearts. Man can only see what is on the outside. He created all the animals, trees, flowers. We could never hold a candle to God. He has infinite wisdom beyond human comprehension. We can never be like God.

Well, if I ever stumble across something that has a legitimate and verifyable claim to being "God's Word," I will certaintly give it more authority than logic.

The problem is that there is no such thing. There is no "God's Word" and there is no reason to believe that there is a god to speak to us.

Until such a time as that changes, logic and the scientific method are the best tools we have to understand the world around us.

Man is a species of primate ape,

while the hypothetical God,

that you are imagining,

is an idea from the imaginations of men.

So, man and God cannot be equal.

At the beginning of the world, you would be right, man would be equal to God because he would have the chance to change and modify the world that the God gave to him, but right now man only cares about money and himself, he doesn't have the power to do anything for the common good, but only do things for himself, so no man isn't equal to God and he is not worthy to be compared with him.

Man does not equal God.

Unicorns equal God. Both are just as real.

It was the oral traditions among the first generations of believers that kept the Word of God alive until it was canonized into the Holy Bible.

Well, what you call God's Word, I call the traditions of men. So yeah.
