Question about a nursing cat?

Long story short, there is a female cat in our neighborhood who has had 3 litters of kittens, she doesn't belong to anyone but is always around my house. I have saved and found homes for the last 2 litters of kittens, unable to catch her. But I got lucky last weekend and caught her and her new litter of kittens. Since they are a tad messy and we have cats/dogs of our own , we are keeping them in the garage. So my question is, what are the best ways to ensure that the cats are able to cool off during the heat of the day? I mean its not terrible out, its 74 degrees right now, but it will get hotter later in the week. I have already cracked the garage door and make sure she never runs out of clean water. (also the kittens are about 2 weeks old, they are not loose, they are in a big dog cage)

Update:

Oh! and I should say that once the kittens can eat solid food we are getting her fixed and finding homes once again for the kittens. I thought that was important to add! :D

Update 2:

@Courtney , She seems happy outside and our neighbors love and feed her. But, they wont let her in the house because they are afraid that she has fleas. So we agreed to split the cost of fixing her, getting her shots and flea treatments. :D

Update 3:

@menykats , We have a few of those fans :) , thanks for the idea!

Update 4:

@Ocimom, oh ya, She is going to grow thumbs and unlock the dog cage door, then is going to be somehow magically grow tall enough to open the garage door. Look, you really didn't read the whole thing, when the kittens are old enough she will get fixed. And I cant send her to a shelter , the only non-kill shelter around here, you have to make appointments and wait 4 weeks. Sorry I am acting a tad rude but your answer didn't answer my question.

If she doesn't seem stressed from the heat I would think its fine. Maybe put a fan out there if you can? or run a cord into the garage with a fan on the end. If she seems stressed from the heat I would suggest putting her in another room like a bathroom or a spare bedroom no one goes in. Try to spend some time with the mother and kittens, don't touch them or anything but you do want them to be social around people so they can be adopted out. Good luck in finding homes for the kittens. Are you keeping the mother or finding her a home too?

Maybe you could buy a window box fan and put it in the garage to help keep them cool. The main thing is to have some air circulating in the enclosed garage. People call them "window fans", but it's not necessary that they set in window. They're relatively inexpensive -- around $30-$35. You could always use it in your house later on.

I have two that run constantly on my back porch for my outdoor cats, and the porch is open to the breeze. It's supposed to be 104 here today.

IMO - since she is in the garage, take her and the kittens to your shelter now where she can be spayed and hopefully rehomed. Otherwise, she will end up with more litters of kittens as soon as she gets out of the garage.
