It's the Obama way.
Your grandmother must have her wheelchair disassembled and inspected, but heaven forbid a Leftist Drug Dealer would have his contraband confiscated. Obama wouldn't want a Terrorists to have his plans thwarted before Obama had a chance to demonstrate his ability to use his spy network to catch him in act. He has to justify accumulating the records of your phone conversations somehow.
