I'm most proud of my opening paragraph at the moment! I've been trying out different beginnings over the past few weeks, and none of them have really inspired me. They were fine for later in the novel, but they weren't eye-catching enough for the first page. But today I managed to finally write a decent opening, something that I feel has a sense of intrigue and mystery, and a bit of a chill factor (which is good because I'm writing a thriller). And now I've just managed to finish off my complete first chapter. So I'm feeling proud of that right now :D

I'm most proud of the following:

"There is a great deal of difference in the mineral composition of sand. That's how cops on TV can tell if someone was murdered in Egypt or Connecticut. That's not even the issue The issue is this:. The sands of the ancient Mesopotamian desert had another desert next to them, possibly a Sumerian one, while the sands of Old Orchard Beach , Maine have a big ass ocean next to them."

How could such nonsense, I mean brilliance, be planned for? I never know what will pop into my head when I don't take my Lamictal.

I am proud that I finished it. My biggest problem while writing my novel was that none of my family and friends believed I would actually complete the manuscript. Even though I still have to edit and re-write a few parts, the novel is complete and has felt like such a huge accomplishment.

Well, I did this battle scene, that lasted for about a chapter or so. Of course it wasn't all fighting. Some of it was preparing the army, just to march onto the battlefield and kick some demonic ass. And, actually, at first I hadn't planned this, but halfway through, I got stuck on how to end it, and thought a tasty war would be a good way to cut towards the end.

  • I'm further into this story than I've been into any other story I've attempted to write. It was sort of planned. I kind of had an Idea that it would go this far though. It's a better story too.

I’ve sold more than 5,000 copies of my self-published e-books, 3,000 of which are of “The Marinara Murders,” a novel that I really really like. It’s the closest any of my books has ever come to turning out how I envisioned it: a simple mystery with some family comedy.

    1) The battle scene lasting for 20 or so pages.

Also, I'm pretty proud of this line: " 'You're not trying to discipline us,' Ryu said, 'you're trying to kill us!' "

    2) Little bit. I like to go light on the planning.

    The climax of course.

And the most planned moment of my story is The climax. Well, you how much climaxes matter the story. It's like they throw light on the whole of it.

A darn good story unlike anything I've ever read or heard of.

Of course that was planned. What's the use of writing a mediocre overused story? lol
